How to cast off/ bind off the last stitch in knitting and make it look neater (easy method)

Normally, you bind off the last two stitches the regular way, and then you break the working yarn and pull out the last loop all the way. This will create a knot. While it is entirely secure, you often create an ear because the edge stitches are a bit too loose. That’s because there is nothing to anchor them on the left side.

I will show you How to bind off/ cast off the last stitch in knitting and make it look neater.

It's easy method!

Step 1: Bind off all stitches but last stitch remaining on left needle.

Step 2: Slip the last stitch to the right needle (without knitting).

Step 3: Find the left loop of the stitch one row below and lift it on your left needle

Step 4: Slip the first stitch on right needle back to the left needle.

Step 5: Knit these two stitches together (K2tog).

Step 6: Pass the second stitch over the first stitch (the way you normally would)

Step 7: Cut yarn, leaving a long tail.

Step 8: Thread tail through remaining stitch on needle and pull it tight to finish.

I hope you enjoyed this video tutorial and learned something new.
