Video - The Mattress Stitch (Invisible seams) - How to sew the seams in knitting

The Mattress Stitch is a sewing method. It creates an invisible join between pieces worked, perfect for so many things, such as sewing the front and back of a sweater together.  

In the video tutorial, we have used a different yarn in a contrasting color, but typically you would use the same yarn as your knit pieces.

A. Use a Mattress Stitch to Seam Stockinette Stitch

1. Vertical invisible seaming

2.  Horizontal  invisible seaming (sewing cast on and cast off edges)

B. Use a Mattress Stitch to Seam Garter

1. Vertical invisible seaming

2.  Horizontal  invisible seaming (sewing cast on and cast off edges)
