SEWING AND MAKING UP
SEWING THE HEAD AND BODY
We’ll use the long tail which through remaining stitches and start sewing the side edges together (use the Mattress Stitch to sew). Adding stuffing as you sew, stuff them so they are fairly firm but not straining the seams. (Fig.6)
Once you are happy with the shape continue sewing the seams right up to the cast -on edge. Then, we’ll thread the tapestry needle with this long tail through the loops of the cast -on stitches and pull up tightly (8 sts), I've used red to illustrate. (fig. 7 - fig.8)
ATTACT THE EYES TO THE HEAD
Mark the spots for the eyes. (fig. 9)
Using the needle with the yarn which just has sewed the seams of body to poke inside the body, and get the needle out in the spot of one of the eyes (fig. 10), hook one stitch and go inside and out again in the spot of other eye (fig. 11 - fig.12), then we hook one stitch again, go inside (fig. 13 ) and out at the place we started. (fig. 14 )
We’ll pull up the yarn a bit to make the groove for the eyes (fig. 15), tie off all ends together (fig. 16) and poke them inside body to hide.
Attach the beads that you planned to use as eyes. (fig. 17)
ATTACT THE EARS TO THE HEAD
Fix the ears to the head with the help of sewing pins. We’ll use a long tail to sew the ears to the head, then poke them inside body to hide. (fig.18 - fig.19)
ATTACT THE TAIL TO THE BODY
Using the cast-off tail to sew the seams with help of Whip Stitch, don’t add stuffing (fig.20). We’ll adjust the tail with sewing pins to the body and sew in the round. (fig.21)
SEWING THE ARMS AND LEGS
Using the Whip stitch to sew the seams, don’t add stuffing. (fig.22)
ATTACT THE ARMS AND LEGS TO THE BODY.
Fix the arms and legs with sewing pins to the body. Using the tapestry needle with the long tail to sew the arms and legs into the body. Once it is attached, we’ll tie off all tails together and poke them inside body to hide. (fig.23 - fig.24)
